NEW DESIGN AT THE DORCY DRIVE/CREWE ROAD/SHEDDEN ROAD INTERSECTION! - MARCH 2006

In the next few weeks the National Roads Authority (NRA) will introduce a new development at the intersection of Dorcy Drive/Crewe Road/Shedden Road with a preliminary road scheme to familiarize motorists with the new and improved junction.

The new design will consist of a mini roundabout with three approaches entering the central island. (See illustrated sketch) Each approach will have an assigned left and right turn lane controlled by the small mountable circular island in the center with signage and road markings for guidance.

This mini roundabout will be designed to alleviate traffic congestion on all three approaches entering the intersection during peak hours and throughout the day. It will also aid tourists and locals to properly maneuver through the intersection.

Please remember that this roundabout will function like any other roundabout, so yield to the traffic on your immediate right!
