SCHEDULED WORKS ALONG CREWE Road for Six Lane Widening

The National Roads Authority (NRA) wishes to inform the public of scheduled road works beginning this weekend (June 29th/30th 2024). The Crewe Road Widening project (6 lanes) is a multi-phase road development project that involves increasing the lane capacity on the primary arterials and at the intersections supporting these arterials, https://www.caymanroads.com/projects/shamrock-road-six-lane-widening

The project began in 2019 with 3 lane upgrades to the Grand Harbour Roundabout, Red Bay Roundabout and Chrissie Tomlinson Roundabout.

Travel lane expansion for roadways in between is being carried out in segments as the process requires relocation of utilities and the removal and replacement of boundary walls, fences, etc.

The next stage of improvements will take place between the Grand Harbour Roundabout and the CUC Roundabout on the eastbound and westbound lanes. Please exercise caution as you drive through work zones. The NRA appreciates the public's patience and cooperation during this time.
